What you can do without an account

You can browse the map, the list of money exchanges and search without signing in. We do not ask for your name or e-mail to do this.

Your location

The map starts where you choose to look. If your browser asks to share your location, it is used only on your device to center the map; it is not stored by us.

Accounts

If you register, your name, e-mail, optional phone number and your contributions (prices, ratings and businesses you submit) are stored in the MEL database run on Supabase. It is the same account and database as the MEL Android app. Passwords are handled by Supabase and never seen by us. Ratings and their comments are public.

Maps and places

Map images come from OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data) and Esri for satellite view. Extra money exchanges shown "from OpenStreetMap" come from OpenStreetMap services. These services receive normal web requests (such as your IP address) when your browser loads them. Map images you have viewed are kept in your browser so the map loads faster; you can remove them any time with Menu, "Clear map cache".

Ads and cookies

The website shows ads served by Google. Google may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. The website itself stores small settings in your browser (such as the map/list size and your sign-in) and does not sell your information. Ads may be personalised unless you choose "Only necessary" (ads are not personalised) in the cookie bar on your first visit, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal; change it any time with Menu, "Cookie settings".
